The mid-way critique lesson plan I created and taught was built off of using inquiry tools, individual development, and literacy skills. It was a group activity, as well as personal inquiry for each students. I intended for each student to understand the value of critique and observation through experiencing it themselves. I also wanted each students to use their literacy skills to explain their thoughts in detail, all while understanding why this is important.

This example of in interdisciplinary unit shows my understanding of interconnectedness of disciplines, knowledge of content, as well as making instruction and content relative to students. The unit's purpose is for students to learn about the history of Mesoamerican art and it's relevance to current world culture. They would create a sculpture of their own focusing on the symbolization used in the Mesoamerican art and translate that into their own lives. In this way, students would be learning an artistic skill, learning through inquiry, as well as developing their literacy skills.

This artifact shows my use of inquiry-based instruction. This is the worksheet that students were instructed to fill out when critiquing their peer's artwork. My intention was for the questions to be straight forward while getting student to critically think about what is going on and how.
